Nestled between the gates of the Haut-Jura Regional Nature Park and the Haute Chaîne du Jura Nature Reserve, the Col de la Faucille offers one of the most beautiful panoramic views in Europe over the Alps and Lake Geneva. Its privileged location in the Monts Jura resort makes it an essential stopover for skiing and green tourism enthusiasts throughout the different seasons.
When you stay in the Juracîmes apartments, you are in the only residence at the foot of the downhill ski slopes and at the start of hiking trails at an altitude of 1,330 meters.
Nearby, discover the Pays de Gex, including the Ferney-Voltaire estate and its castle, Fort l'Ecluse, CERN (the world's largest particle physics center), Divonne-les-Bains... and nearby Switzerland with Geneva and the Vaud Riviera.
Our resort, located between 1323 and 1700m above sea level, is unique in that it spans three mountain villages: Mijoux, Lélex and Chézery-Forens in the Valserine valley, three downhill ski areas: Lélex-Crozet, Mijoux-la Faucille and Menthières, and the exceptional Nordic ski area of La Vattay - Valserine.
In winter, in addition to skiing and snowboarding, you can enjoy dog sledding, snowshoeing, four-season sledding, a giant zip line, and many other activities.
In summer, Mijoux-La Faucille is the starting point for beautiful hikes with over 100 km of marked trails, as well as many other activities: rail sledding, giant zip lines, adventure courses, walking, paragliding, mountain biking (classic or electric), golf, and water sports in Divonne-les-Bains, a tourist resort where you will find a sandy beach by the lake and an Olympic-size swimming pool. You can also enjoy exceptional views of the Alps and Lake Geneva via the Mont-Rond cable car.
There are a few shops at the Col de la Faucille, including restaurants, various boutiques, and a tourist office. You will also find shops in the village of Mijoux, including a mini-market and the renowned Trabbia Vuillermoz jewelry store and its gemstone museum. In Gex and Les Rousses, you will find hypermarkets, small shops, and movie theaters.
